We are currently looking to recruit for the following positions:

Stores / Despatch Operative

About the Role

We are looking to recruit a Stores / Despatch Operative to join our Stores & Despatch department. This is a full-time permanent position based at Reliance Precision Limited Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This role is suitable for candidates looking for a career opportunity with a long-established & expanding business.

Reporting to the Team Leader the successful candidate will be involved in operating in all areas of Stores and working within the Despatch department. The candidate will have the ability to review and report any equipment faults, strictly adhere to quality procedures and have a good attention to detail ensuring accuracy of all work. Additionally, they should possess knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Word and Excel. There may also be a requirement for short journeys therefore a valid driving license is essential

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Diligently and methodically pick and prepare items for shipping worldwide, including all paperwork and booking of couriers
  • Verification of picked goods
  • Booking in deliveries
  • Receipt of goods from suppliers
  • Stock Checks
  • Control of traceable raw materials
  • Generating appropriate documentation for all material movements within Bar Stores and working with Bar Stores machines
  • Problem solving and continuous improvement of systems
  • Cover and support other areas of stores

Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Stock management
  • Goods inwards
  • Packing & despatch
  • Visual management
  • Good communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Self-motivated
  • A team player
  • Forklift Licence preferred but not essential

Hours of Work

38 hours per week

08:00 – 17:00 Monday – Thursday

08:30 – 12:30 Friday
